There goes the big annoucement for Winter NAMM 2015 : new software revision, woohoo. I bought an Electribe 2 in Singapore this week and it reports software version 1.05 . I downloaded the latest from the Korg website which was 1.03, but didn't overwrite what I had when the Electribe reported ...

Yeah, I think it was a bit unfair to Korg to speculate about the product merge. Of course nobody would oppose to it but probably not very realistic. I can picture korg reps reading this thread shocked and thinking a few of their customers have become delusional

Yeah, plenty of hardware only has mfx in the main outs as opposed to the individual ones, like the machinedrum.

It kinda makes sense for certain mfx like compressor or limiter. They could work around it by exporting a separate master track, with all those tracks routed to the mfx, or individual tracks, each affected by the mfx. Maybe a parameter in the export menu to specify what option the user wants before ...

Sales are not flopping, at least yet. They can't even keep up with demand so far. But the machine has had a good but also so-so reception, especially when compared with the older models. Overall the os seems a bit unpolished, less config options, less midi flexibility, some design shortcomings, only ...

Maybe they'll upgrade the os to include sample playback or even sampling. Since the beginning the sampler electribe seems to have been more of a plan than a reality. There were no demos, nobody has seen it, and the only difference with the synth one was the logo and colour tone. The hardware on both ...

Oh, well, that was a bit disappointing with the electribe as master. Would be interesting to see if the issue is with the usb midi master, only gadget, all ipad apps and if din master and analog sync master also display this problem.

Maybe a firmware update can tighten things up.

Very interesting to read on the ipad electribe communication. Lots of potential there, especially without the need of additional hardware.

The electribe could be very useful to integrate both the ipad and the volcas/monotribe in a very capable and light live setup.

Yeah I'm loving mine, got it hooked up with an iPad and samplr.. Great combo. Stroke machine, iElectribe, and egoist should all be great too. Hopefully I can put a video up soon Hi. Do you use any device to sync the electribe with the ipad? Yeah. Using the new Tribe with an iPhone/iPad is pure fun ...

Wait, so there's no silent gap? It's just the fx tails being cut?

I swear I've heard silent gaps during pattern transitions in some videos posted. Those didn't sound like fx tails being cut when the new pattern started at all, but like silent gaps before the new pattern started.

Hey Kilko, more questions  - Does the song data, like the demo you just recorded, get saved as wav (one/individual tracks?) or as some sort of internal performance midi data? If it's the second case, can it be overwritten, like record more knob movements over a recorded song? Thanks.

Just checked the parameter guide pdf and it seems the sequencer does record most data recieved from controllers. Them, on page 303 there's a table for CC#s for external controllers, with numbers for filter cutoff and such, but I'm not sure if one can control both filters independently or what ...
