1. The .wav file you've loaded will be in the sample RAM area - this can be confirmed by going to sampling mode and finding which key it has been assigned to (C#2 by default). 2. You can punch in on audio tracks - I use auto punch-in regularly for my application. There is one point to watch, though, if you've not discovered it already.
