Yes the led's light up and the apegiator led flashes several times during start up. It looks normal as it boots up but none of the buttons will do anything. Thank you for your reply. It acts as if something was slowly getting worse though. Not intermittent. I tried restoring the factory settings thinking it may be software, but the buttons don't respond at start up.

I had the same thing happen with mine. Open the keyboard up and remove the drive and clean it with alcohol. It's not hard if you take a few digital pictures.
