I also have both, a Fantom 6 and the Kronos 2 88. I agree that the acoustic sounds are much better on the Fantom. Another consideration is that the Fantom lacks a Tonewheel organ emulation and the samples on the Fantom are so-so at best. For programming most synth sounds the workflow on the Fantom ...

Actually I'm trying to bring less stuff to gigs (not home). I gig as well and while I am lucky enough to have some real analog synths around I only take the Kronos anymore since I can get the sounds so close to their real analog equivalent most of the time. And honestly, with other all the other ...

OK, you can definitely do things on the Minilouge that you are not going to do on the KingKorg. Same goes the other way, you can do things on the KingKorg that you can't do on the Minilouge. There is SOME overlap between them but not a ton. The Minilouge let's you modulate the wave shapes, all of ...

I will have both tomorrow... I'll post some observations after I spend a few hours with the Minilouge. :)

To Akos - synths with standard keys are selling fine - Moog, DSI and Roland are doing fine with their standard keyboard sizes - this is a fetish by Japanese synth manufacturers only. Arturia - French Company - Microbrute Novation - UK Company - Mininova And Roland is also a Japanese company - you ...

Actually the Ultranova came first and the Mininova a built upon that synth engine with a few new tricks. 8)

But you are spot on - very underrated synth!

I had this happen as well some time ago, exactly as you describe it. You don't happen to use a third party program to change your set lists, comments, combinations do you? I ended up with a corrupted PCG file. I know it was the file because just happened to have done a backup before it flaked out ...

Ugh... I can only think of two other things:

1) There is another slot in the Combi transmitting on Midi channel 2.
2) On the Tetra: Is the Midi channel in the Global parameters set to ALL instead of 2?

Short of one of those I am stumped as well.

Did you adjust the volume on channel 2 of the Combi on the Kronos? The Kronos transmits that volume level every time you select it so if the volume in the combi is set to max the Tetra will jump to max. It doesn't matter if you adjust the volume on the Tetra using the volume knob that is physically ...

Kronos 2 as main board and one of the following depending on my mood:

Prophet 12
Prophet 6
OB6
Virus Ti2
KingKorg

So for me it is two keyboards with the Kronos always being one of the pair.

Actually, I would throw a few bucks your way for that dream since you spent a lot of time and energy making patches for all to use on this forum while asking for nothing in return! :D

Huh... I've been doing it wrong I guess. Seriously though if you want/need it bad enough you will find a way to earn the money to get it. I will, however, give you credit for out of the box thinking. Problem is, most of us have had to work for what you are asking us to give you. I fully support ...

I've actually used one and despite the bashing that Behringer (sometimes justifiably) endures it worked as advertised with no major issues. Sound quality was fine - it was used with a full mix of the band coming in minus my keys and vocals, I used the level adjustment on the P1 to get my personal ...
