Re: MIDI CC for Level, Mute on ES2...?
Anyone know what CC's these are? If they aren't listed in the MIDI Spec, is there a way to monitor the MIDI data when triggering Mute on the Electribe, for example, and determining the CC from that...? The MIDI Spec is all there is to it. The electribe2/2S with factory firmware do not have a hidden ...

Help yourself here.
And just in case you meant the bonus factory patterns using chain mode from the summer 2016 relaunch, there are available at Korg's.

Look for posts by Xanadu. He once posted a pattern editor done in Max4Live: http://www.korgforums.com/forum/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=95368 Not sure it's still working after the 2016 updates (which added a few params), but he posted most of his findings in the first thread anyway: http://www.korgforums ...

Very cool idea and nice work on the javascript side of things. https://apiel.github.io/electribe-ui/dist/index.ec0c290a.js Or so it seems. Too bad one have to be logged into Github to have it working. Which I couldn't. Any chance to have this as a standalone html/js page, without the need of being ...

Re: Electribe Sampler factory samples corrupted. backup file
Looks like a hardware failure (ROM or RAM chips). On both electribe 2 & 2S, the factory waveforms are in ROM. You can't export those in a e2sSample.all file on the sampler. Edit : you can, actually. It's written in the manual. My bad. But Korg only provides the parameters for the presets, not the ...

using a MIDI cable that works with other gear. Could you be more specific? Are you using a non-Korg Jack To MIDI DIN adapter? https://1010music.com/stereo-minijacks-midi-connections-compatibility-guide Since you've explored all settings on the electribe, that could be the culprit. Unless the unit ...

Re: Converting E2 to E2S patterns - I need your input
This is where I could use a little help: How would you map e2 factory sounds to e2s factory samples? And what might be a good idea how to handle OscEdit? (Apart from printing out a list of the settings for the user to adapt.) The e2pat format has been decoded by Xanadu quite a while ago: http://www ...

Re: Electribe 2 update
First off, teenage engineer OP1’s device had an update in 2019 and that was created in 2011 so other companies have done it. Apples and Oranges. Korg is not a niche scandinavian 2.0 company. Since the software took over in electronic music gear, I don't recall any of the three big japanese synths m ...

Re: Electribe 2 & Sampler update needed
They really need to come out with an update fixing small bugs Can't and won't happen. It's 2020, the electribe2 (2014) as a product has reached end of life for quite some times now. Not to mention the worldwide economical recession coming. when you get a MC101 or 707 I'll consider your comments ...

As the other guy say the 101 is not even close to the Electribe I'd wait a few software update from Roland before making such a statement. The whole ZEN-core paradigm is interesting as compared to the scarce *cough* paraphonic *cough* sound engine of the e2/e2s, even though the single BMC chip in ...

For $100 more, the Roland MC-101 has an edge on both e2/e2s IMHO.TheDoctor wrote:Sure mate but if you look at the specs I really don't understand why Korg give up with this unit. It's almost 2020 and still there isn't a real alternative.
Rephazer makes good music with one.
