is it very tricky to disassemble padkontrol so as to be able to fix scene button? any traps on the way?

I guess I need to fix flam button, perhaps replace it with a less used one, like message (I use a self made modified script for ableton, and message button is redundant).

I must have been hittin the button too strongly, because it responds now every second time.

has anyone tried unscrewing the device and fixing buttons?

I wonder if it makes sense to try to fix it at home.

I meant if it is technically possible to connect the device to the audiocard, and to use it effectively in ableton. By effectively I mean flawlessly.

I am thinking making my composiing more interactive, by buying a KP3 (I'm new to it) and an express audiocard with sufficient number of ins and outs. Can this setup do?

not only BCR, but also w/ logitech steering wheel.


symptoms:

connecting BCR or logitech makes pK stop responding.

How to avoid that?

No, I am on PC. I have mostly managed with the setup yet. I am in Ableton Live, x when untouched gets back to 0. so I have 0 mute the audio before the chain, so nothing gets there unless touched. in real time all works well. The last thing is using recorded the xy pad - it can be sent to one effect ...

Yeah, and no midi out. What's striking is that nobody seems to have them.

The xy pad in KP3 works in such a way that touching it, apart from sending the coordinates, unmutes the effect chain. And untouching mutes again.

How to achieve that with padKONTROL?

padKONTROL does not seem to have such a parameter in pad - just x and y.

1) not usb, but midi-connected, can pK enter Native mode? I am asking, because to try this I would need to buy a psu. 2) when pK, being connected via usb is on while starting up XP professional, it will not enter native mode later on, until I switch it off and on again as I want to automate startup ...
