Had the MX61 its good but the layout is not half as good as the Kross much more depth in the kross and way more useful accessible stuff for live use let alone the sequencing. Depends on what you want that Yamaha to me was more like a one trick Rompler

You can make your own bank with your favorite sounds from different Banks, with the use of the Kross, or using PCG TOOLS free software, much easier. http://pcgtools.mkspace.nl/ Thanks for mentioning! I don't so much mind the gold letters, although you're right more contrast is better, but I think the choice of a shiny control panel was unfortunate. My biggest pet peeve though is ANY electronic product with raised black letters on a black background....and there are TONS of them out there ...
