Yes, the TR has a severe limitation where effects are concerned, but that's part of why I eventually went for a DAW after I saw that lack in the 01Wfd. Its far less of an issue if you can afford a Kronos;). I also got tired of squinting at such a small GUI. Its a crisp one that works fine, but a DAW ...

[quote="Alexis"]Thanks xtrade, what i am really looking for is how to set up the midi configuration between TR and Logic. I have tried to follow the Logic manual but failed to get success. It is an awkward process far from plug and play, and so I hoped someone out there may have already built the ...

AHA, clarity! Thanks! I never installed RAM, preferring to use the TR as just a synth rather than a sampler. I have better, software-based sampling means. This is the first time its been an issue. I didn't consider the sampling board to be cost-effective for me. I doubt I'll go hunting for one just ...

What's wrong with the Download section?
I've tried several times to get my TR61 to read files from the Downloads section, but all I get when trying to load PCGs is "memory overload" or "No readable data." I dumped each entire downloaded folder onto an SD card and the TITLES show, but no bloody sounds results. Am I supposed to load ONLY ...

Hi Another solution might be to record all the tracks as audio in your Mac. This would mean loading up a song and muting all but 2 racks at a time so that the audio can be made into wave files. This would allow you to add effects etc and tie them all up togethjer in a DAW to remix or add more to ...

>>> I would strongly suspect that the replacement drive is the problem with regard to saving SMFs and formatting. I may have to allow for that, but if so, that's rather raw. The drive should not have anything to do with MIDI data being sent from a sequence that's already onboard and playing properly ...

Well, I tried using a 1.4 mb floppy to save SMFs, as suggested, with the lower tab taped over and then NOT taped over, but the $#@! synth keeps saying "Disk Type Error" to BOTH kinds when newly formatted, so I can't even TRY to convert things and get the program change header to finally show up as ...

[quote="jerrythek"]Hi HP: I see. I would still contact Gary - I see that he does offer a disk recovery service, and I wonder if you two couldn't work out a way to get things accomplished. I do not understand quite what you mean by disk recovery and he is all-Windows anyway. I can try, but I am not ...

[quote="Daz"]Are you sure that Cubase isn't simply interpretting the Program Change messages from the synth (changing the info in the Inspector for the track) rather than recording them ? [quote="jerrythek"]Hi HPH: Have you looked in Giebler Enterprises conversion tools: http://www.midifile.com/#01wsmf http://www.giebler.biz/main.sc That would be great, except I am using an Intel Mac. NO ONE offers a utility for this job yet, as far as I have seen. The 01W utility would have done ...
