You can hook them up as they are as follows:

Keystep midi out - electribe midi in (midi cable)
Electribe sync out - volca bass sync in (minijack)

This will allow you to play the electribe synth voices from the Keystep and will also have the Volca sync to the Electribe when you hit play.

Good luck with that. It sounds like that's what has happened, blown fuse. I think you have done well finding that information from Korg describing how to replace the fuse, normally manufacturers will tell you to send it to a technician

Just another thought. Its possible that the RK004 is seeing the electribe as a midi in device, so no data will be allowed to flow out of the electribe.

You might want to reset the RK004 and plug the electribe back in and trigger some notes or something to make the RK004 see it as a midi out device

This is weird. I would disconnect everything and try hooking up just one synth to the electribe and see if it can trigger the synth. If not there could be an issue with the electribe

Sorry, I should have said midi filter switched on. Make sure the midi out filter is set to OFF. This way he electribe will output all sequencer data

That might be tricky to achieve. Only thing you can try is switching between different sync modes on the electribe. Try switching between Auto or external. Does the footswitch module send out midi clock?

Do you have the Midi Send Filter switched off on the Electribe?

I think there could be an impedance mismatch going on. The Korg accepts 'line level' input and I suspect your amp will be throwing out 'instrument level' which is causing the imbalance. You would ideally need to convert the amp signal to line level before sending it to the Korg

It would be easier to hold shift and part mute then select the pad, this way you don't leave part mute mode and you can still see which tracks are active, but you are right ...getting used to pressing trigger then pad and then up to part mute again can be done.

It just feels a little awkward!

I have a midi to cv converter with a simple learn button. You hold down the button, play a note and your channel is set. So simple.

More manufacturers should implement this on their units. Its only a bit of extra code and a tiny momentary switch. Its such a useful feature.

This is not a problem with these units, its all down to the phenonmenon of non-zero crossing on the waveform. Even the OP-1 suffers from this. You need to plan a little better to avoid it.

1. Not possible. One of my gripes with the unit. 2. All you did was record the note data. If you want to hear the Volca you will need to plug it in. If not you can still hear the same pattern by setting up a sound on the unit itselc. 3. If hooked up via midi, you cannot avoid the volca from playing ...

Re: The Sampler

Hello everyone. I'm new to the Forum and to Korg production. Being a hard-user of DAW's and other software, I decided to purchase some hardware for live performances. So, I've been looking for something for the first time (because I'm a student, and I can't spend lots of cash on expensive stuff yet ...

You do have extra amp enveleope functionality in the modulation section but it does mean you will lose the LFO. Motion sequencing is then your friend here.
