An update on this: I found the classic voices (A-D) for reason! They sound great. I supposedly found the Extreme voices for Kontakt but I can't make heads or tails of how they line up to the actual TeX. However, could I do the following... Export a 12 note scale of any particular combi as WAV files ...

Haha, I actually have the 61 key. You're right, it's not 50 lbs, but with case and accessories it is. My band has a ridiculous amount of gear, and our live shows can get kind of crazy. I want to build a custom stand (think NIN or Gravity Kills) that I can get crazier with, without having to worry ...

Or, could I just get generic ram and load these files to it?

http://www.korg.co.uk/support/downloads/EXB-PCM_dl.php

I have a TeX with full ram right now but I'm guessing TeX ram is not Rack ram.

Is this the card I would need to make the rack equivalent to the TeX?

Hi all, and thank you so much for the responses.

Bill - is there a way I can verify that I would need the additional cards? What if the Programs I'm using in my combis are already in the Triton Rack? How could I tell?

I don't need drum stuff; I just play ambient/orchestral stuff in a metal band.

"I like to moovit moovit" - King Julian I'm assuming the sample is part of a combi. I'm wondering why you don't just move the sample-trigger key out of the way of your playing range. It's a fairly simple thing to move it left or right on the keyboard using that exclusive range feature you already ...

Using Triton Combis in 2012; more efficient way?

My band has been dormant for several years, but is about to start playing shows again. I bought the Triton is 2007, made a ton of custom combis, programs, etc. We played shows until 2009 when the 'break' happened. Now it's 2012 and I don't really want to lug a 50 lb keyboard + case around on tour ...

Re: Performing live

Sam Metal, My name is Monte and our band The Late Show (www.lateshowband.net) gig every week. I sing, play guitar and I am a wanna/be keyboard player. I wish I could play keys better but that's what we practice for. I run my guitar into a Line6Pod back into my Triton Extreme. I run mono out into a ...

Re: Program and Combi Change

My friend is thinking to get an Extreme 61, we have it already for 2 weeks on trial, and we like it so far. Only thing we Hate about it is how Program and Combi change works. So, Say we are playing Bank A program 000 and want to play something in bank B, as soon we press bank B, 000 from bank B ...

I should add I really would like a new stand as the OnStage one is a huge pain to load in and out. Very awkward and bulky. This is the best replace I've found so far: http://www.zzounds.com/item--YAMYKA7500 My idea stand would be some type of hydraulic or spring-loaded system that would allow me to ...

Performing live

I didn't see any recent threads on this so I thought I'd start one regarding a few issues. There's quite a bit of talk regarding using the various keyboards (TEX for me) in the studio and at home, but not so much on taking it into a live setting. A few issues: -What kind of stand do you use / what ...

Yeah, that setup with compressor effects does the trick, I used to make that kind of setups myself, BUT. I noticed stereo compressor gives your sounds, especially sounds that you play to sound longer (as organs, strings etc), one annoying vibrato flavour, especially if played in third pitch (double ...

I was super psyched to get a 2GB card...then I found out you can load a maximum of 96MB of samples/data. Totally lame. Korg needs to expand on this.

thanks for the response, but is there an simpler way to do this all within one program? lets say i wanted to set a piano program to be able to go down -2 and up +2 on sw1 and 2 latch, much like every other keyboard on the market. i see the added value of having the versatility of being able to ...
