It may be the PA amp and/or speakers. In small to medium venues, I play my TEx tru a Roland KC-500 and then have a line out from that amp to the PA just to add a little to the mains and monitors but most of the sound (75%) comes out of the Roland amp. Stephen

I have an E-MU B3 synth connect via MIDI to my Extreme. The output of the B3 synth then goes to a dedicated channel on my mixer.
