I'm Still Around!

jeesh. You're not kidding. He never even returned my phone call! Sorry, Mike, I didn't mean to snub you! I didn't receive your phone call. You should be able to reach me on that same number. Yes, we did recently sell out to MPCStuff.com. It got to a point where we simply could no longer get the ...

Yes, that is true - the floppy is required for updating the os. As you said, you should update the os first, before removing the floppy drive and installing a CF-CARD drive. If you ever needed it again, it would be very easy to hook the floppy back up and install an upgrade. One thing about all our ...

Yes, it's tough to do with an internal SCSI drive. I believe that you can hook your Triton up to a SCSI adapter card installed in a PC and access the internal drive that way but these days, almost no computers have a SCSI adapter in them. The ability to swap a CF card from sampler to computer and ...

Musitronics, maybe?

Most likely it is that kit from those guys at Musitronics in Germany. They offered an internal drive install kit and a 2.5" SCSI hard drive - it is really a very nice kit, although way too expensive. Our kit is fairly inexpensive and you can install your own drive, if you wish to. And if you already ...

I don't believe that our CF-CARD SCSI card reader drive is any faster than a hard drive - in general, it is a bit slower but most people are okay with that because of the many other advantages. McHale makes a good point when he says "the CF loads as fast as the Triton can handle". There is more to ...

A Followup Review of the CF-CARD Drive from Ricoche

Hello, JD from SCSIforSamplers.com here. I thought that based upon the less-than-favorable post made from Ricoche, some of you might like to read what he has to say about our CF-CARD drive after he installed it. You can read his complete review of the drive here: http://jimatwood.wordpress.com/2010 ...

Internal Drives in Triton rack

We sell a complete kit for adding an internal 4GB SSD unit and it is very easy to install. You could use our install kit to install a 2.5" notebook hard drive instead but why do that when you can use the SSD which has no moving parts and makes no noise whatsoever during operation? However, if you ...

You need to reduce the size of those pics, bro! You can do it using MSPaint if you don't have any other tools. But I know what you did - you mounted your CF-CARD drive on the side of your Triton Classic so that you can have both the floppy drive and the CF-CARD drive installed. Normally, it is just ...

Probably your voltage regulator should have covered a voltage issue but I always gigged with a small UPS. I only plugged my keys and mixer into it but man, that thing saved my life may times. I was using two ASR-10 keyboards that booted from disk so even the smallest power blink and I was looking at ...
