. . . although your comparison did temporarily make me think about buying a virus to complememt the radias. very interesting. The Virus is sick. It's everything that SynthAntonias described . . . dark, scary, evil. The absolute polar opposite of the bright, sparkly, happy Radias. Together, it's ...

. . . Although - I gotta say this - it doesn't really sound all that much different then the Fantom to me, at least not through the PA or on the headphones hooked up. They're openly bragging how it has a much better sonic quality, but I've seen enough PRware in my life not to trust anything that I ...

Our releases don't always line up with the trade shows, but there were two new fairly big things (one of them physically quite small): the Kaoscillator, and the Vox Guitars. Thanks, Dan! Didn't realize you were a Korg Product Manager (new avatar, maybe?). Always great to see Korg management online ...

Don't mean to take this thread off-topic, and I'm certainly excited to continue to discuss more topics regarding the Fantom-G, but were there any significant product announcements by Korg at this winter's NAMM?

The thing that I absolutely cannot (under)stand with this baby is this one: "Expansion for sampling memory DIMM: 1 slot, supports PC133, CL=2/3, 3.3 V, 128MB, 256MB, 512MB". Thank you, Roland, for taking us back to 1990's, people are already using DDR3 memory around the world. At least OASYS has ...

I like synths with keyboards also, but I have a lack of space, to be honest. My FX8 and Radias-R&K are already big enough. And like I said, Virus will fit perfectly on FX8 . . . And I just want Virus sounds, but don't want to pay the full price . . . Then the "Snow" sounds perfect for you! You'll ...

I bought a new VirusTI Polar for $2,350 USD ($500 discount off normal internet pricing). There's two blemished Polars on sale now at zzounds.com for only $2,199. I personally don't like modules all that much, and I really like that I'm all hardware for now (no DAW). Everything I own has its own ...

Does either WindowsXP's 64-bit or Vista's 64-bit OS "fix" the USB 10-device limit? Is there any "fix" for this infuriating Windows OS limitation?

Edit: Oh, sorry. Pretty off-topic post, but a few here were discussing this earlier in the thread.

Thanks. I found the 2.0 Editor in the 2.0 Updater folder. Korg still has the 1.0 Editor online for a stand-alone download.

UPDATED TO 2.0 . . . FINALLY! After 20 million attempts last night on my WindowsXP box receiving the all-too-familiar, alternating error messages: "No USB device detected," and, "No MIDI port available/No Korg driver installed," this morning, I gave it one more try . . . 1. Deleted the existing ...

My $0.02: I own both a Radias and a VirusTI Polar. And I'm glad I own BOTH. IMO, both offer unique sonic and functional qualities, neither of which are matched by any of my other synths (Fantom-X, V-Synth GT). But, to me, the Virus represents the Holy Grail of cool sounds. And there's a TON of them ...
