I went to a really good flash conference earlier this year where a guy (can't remember his name off hand) had used action script to program a Wii midi/video controller among other things. I gather there is free software out there for that now anyway but I'm really interested in unorthodox interfaces ...

technical question: do you know how to daisy chain your microkorg to your esx1 to your computer with midi?

I'm trying to wrap my mind around this midi stuff.

I emailed ableton to ask them how to use the ESX one as a control surface for impulse (ableton's drum machine) and this is what they wrote back: The Impulse trigger-slots react in a note-range between C3-C4. MIDI controlling with the ESX

apologies if there's already a thread about this! I'm trying to use my ESX to trigger Impulse in Ableton 6 via my Motu Ultralite sound card. Seems I have to assign the buttons like this: C3 = Slot 1 D3 = Slot 2 E3 = Slot 3 F3 = Slot 4 G3 = Slot 5 A3 = Slot 6 B3 = Slot 7 C4 = Slot 8 Then I'm sposed ...
