Hi Asena, Thank you for your reply! It's some great work you've done on that pack and I will definitely consider it. I need however to find a way to make the Korg Latin Dance Styles set work with PA5X. It's that important in order for me to upgrade to the new keyboard. I hope someone can come up ...

Latin Dance Styles

Hi everyone, I have a Korg Latin Dance Styles USB flash drive which I constantly use with my Korg PA4X 76. I have been using these styles since PA1X Pro when they were in the form of a hardware expansion board. In order for me to upgrade to Korg PA5X I must have access to these styles. My question ...

I'm going to repeat one of my previous posts here: A great omission on the PA4X is the absence of a Piano Roll Editor and a proper Realtime Swing/Shuffle Quantize feature for both sequencers and for style editing. Even Kronos doesn't have that, which I just don't understand... Krome and M3 have the ...

I'd like to know if it's still possible to get the original XMS-1 Golden Entertainer board for PA1X Pro? Is Golden Entertainer on Deebach website under PA1/PA1X Pro the same product as the Musitronics one? Are Musitronics and Deebach really the same company, only rebranded? If I'll use the contact ...

It is clearly evident that the main reason for Roland's situation at this time is a very tall pile of rigidity and stubbornness of it's people on top, amassed over a very long period of time. It's about their resistance to being flexible with giving their loyal customers what they truly want and ...

So as we can see here no matter whether it's OS 3.0 or 3.01, the styles still don't work the way they should. The manual clearly states that PA1X with OS 3,0 or higher can read PA800 format. Could it be that there's something wrong with those style files in the bonus section (Style Vol. 13, 14, 15 ...

You're welcome, Marcus! Just speaking the truth. I'm not usually about taking extreme measures, as I totally get that people have bad days (weeks, years, lives...) and their unconscious behavior, that they are completely oblivious to, gets the best of them ALL of the time. In other words: when tech ...

Thanx for that, Thoraldus, but the FD I've tried was an original new part ordered from Korg parts. The problem is not with the FD for sure. The keyboard works and that is all that matters to me at this point. If anyone can convert the Styles Vol. 13, 14, 15 and the Mexican set from the Bonusware ...

+1 Had the hanging up in my face experience with them as well. I was actually showing them a solution to an issue they didn't know about. In return got anger, false pride, arrogance and "we have to research it" bit. Just the fact that a "support" person has raised their voice at me was priceless on ...

Thank you, Pete!

I'll try them and let you know.

I think my solution with the bonus styles from the website would be to find someone with PA1X with OS 3.01, load those, resave them as PA1X formatted and then transfer to mine. This should do the trick.

Thank you again for all your help!

Thank you for your reply, Pete! Because of extensive air travel and airline personnel being oblivious to the fragile stickers on the case, the floppy disk drive stopped working. I've tried changing it, but the malfunction is somewhere on the motherboard... As far as I know the only way to install ...

Questions About Bonus Styles

Hey guys, I have a question about the free style sets that are there in the Bonusware section of the Korg pa website. Specifically about Styles Vol. 13, 14, 15 & Mexican Styles. They are made in PA800 format, but the manual for PA1X states that the instrument can import PA800 format with OS 3.0 or ...

I think it would be a good idea for Korg to make style and sequencer part editing a little closer to the way it is done in computer DAWs. Specifically I'm talking about Piano Roll Edit Screen and Track View Screen, the way it's done in M3 XPanded. Plus a way to do a realtime swing quantize from 0 to ...

Hello guys, I'm glad that this topic came up as it seems like there's a definite need in many others, beside just me, to improve on the flexibility (among other things) of the Korg PA flagship keyboards. I hope Korg listens! It's been 4 years since I wrote a 16-page letter to Korg, describing in ...
