Any Signs of a Kronos Replacement?

I as prior owner of the Oasys, now wanting to get a Kronos, I've held off because a replacement often seems imminent.

Have you seen any signs or heard rumors of a Kronos replacement?

Thanks.

Kronos X Build Quality?

I've been thinking of getting a Kronos X 61, but I keep coming across complaints about the Kronos' build quality in various forums. And even in this forum, there are two sticks about problems (the fan noise and keybed issues, though with the 61 I wouldn't have to worry about the later), which isn't ...

Where to buy a Kronos X 61 at a good price?

I previously owned an Oasys 88 along with many other Korg & non-Korg synths. I've been focused on guitar only for several years and the only synth I still own is a Minimoog Voyager. I'm considering getting a workstation again, and the Kronos X 61 seems like the obvious choice. Can anyone recommend a ...

I agree Korg's move seems unfair, and is another indication of the possible discontinuation of the OASYS, but as Eric stated it makes total business sense from Korg's perspective. The sales of the M3 has far surpassed the OASYS - both in number of units and in profit - so it only makes sense for ...

The Studiologic controller has waterfall keys; it's advertised as such on their main page ( http://www.studiologic.net/ ). The VMK-161 comes in either the "Plus" model with regular keys or the "Organ" model with waterfall keys. And neither have built it sounds. They don't seem to have a lot of US ...

The last time I checked, the only affordable option was the Fatar/Studiologic VMK-161 Organ:

I've been tempted to buy it. Take a look.

Any Good Deals for an Oasys 76?

(Sharp, sorry for posting this so soon after your last thread...) After selling my Oasys 88 earlier this year due to some space issues, I'm looking to buy back in but this time I want an Oasys 76. Does anyone know of a good deal on one, new or used? I sold my 88 for $5500 (yes, a little cheap but ...

Maybe the way you've asked the question is imprecise, but I don't think banning questions about the price of the OASYS is to the benefit of the users - it's only to the benefit of the retailers since there are bargains to be found if you know the true street price. I do agree that threads on "if the ...

If he said that the problems were due to dust, he's a complete idiot and I would not take anything back to him for repairs.

Good luck.

It'll be a sad day when it's discontinued, unless an Oasys II is also announced at the same time. Yesterday my local guitar center was selling the Oasys 88 for $6500 - plus there was an additional 15% discount on all workstations bringing the price down to $5525! I sold my Oasys late last year ...

Here's one way to look at it. Korg has a finite number of AOpen motherboards. When that supply is exhausted they have two choices: discontinue the OASYS or release an updated model. In the later case, they could try to find a similar motherboard, which might be difficult and still require work ...

An Oasys II wouldn't surprise me, and I suspect would probably be forward and backward compatible with the Oasys "Classic", as it would just be freshened hardware running the same OS. Yup, that's exactly what I heard, a refresh in the hardware: dual-processors, more memory, and a 24-bit 192-kHz ...

Rumors of Oasys II?

I've heard rumors from a couple of friends in the music retail side that an Oasys II was in the works. Their details were extremely vague (and questionable) but it was odd that I heard it from two unrelated people. Has anyone else heard about a new Oasys? As many of you know, I sold my Oasys to ...

If you have the UPS Store pack your item and it's damaged, they guarantee the insurance coverage. I guess this is a way for the stores to make more money because even if you do a good job yourself it still might be worthwhile to pay them to do it for that extra reassurance that it'll be covered ...
