I bitterly regret selling my Extreme 61. I have two Kronos which are great, but I really should have held onto it as it would have complimented it and could have done some small shows with it. Prices on used Extreme's seem to be rising too!

To answer your first question, I was able to do this with Korg UK a few years ago. We booked a slot to drop the Kronos at the start of the working day and collected it at the end of the day. Now, covid restrictions etc may make this not possible but back in 2014 / 2015 they were very helpful to ...

I've got both a 73 and 88 and for 95% of the shows we do I use the 73 - in it's flightcase it's easier to maneuver into the car at the end of gigs and easier to get up stairs if necessary. With the 88 I tend to find getting it into the car is a two man job. Plus for smaller shows there isn't really ...

I was talking to a Korg UK expert at the Music's Live event in Birmingham at the weekend and was told that any replacement for Kronos is at least 2-3 years away. I already own two and was pondering my next move, or whether I need to save for the 'new Kronos'. thats interesting. what is a ' Korg UK ...

When I've done this I've put the program into a combi and detuned the program in there. It was easier to do this and have it on my setlist than to have to detune the whole board in 'Global' and then remember to retune it.

I've got Flightcase Warehouse cases for both my 88 and 73 (with wheels) and they are pretty much indestructible! Much recommended

I'm pondering getting a Roland VR09 as the top deck of my live rig specifically for organ work. I love the organ in the Kronos but I own a 73 and 88 and for glides and some organ work it's killed my hands to be honest. I've given the VR09 an extensive workout and it's great value for money, and up ...

I am looking for a specific patch - it's from the DX7 cartridge 2b and it's called 'SynOrch' which is the exact sound used on 'Who Wants To Live Forever' by Queen. If anyone has this it would be great if you could share :-)

Many thanks

The programs (or at least some of them) do work, but sadly there are no Combi's as these were what I was hoping to add. Some of the programs are quite interesting though and I'll no doubt incorporate them in with something I'm working on.

61 Key Controller for Kronos 88 - Novation Launchkey?

I'm looking to add a 61 key controller to my rig to help with organ / synth parts. Does anyone have any experience of the Novation Launchkey? Do the faders, etc map to the Kronos as I know on this device the CC channels are preset.

Any advice would be much appreciated. Many thanks.

Thank you Korg - as always a brilliant update, available for free to us Kronos players. Two Kronos' updated - the splits and layers are fabulous, a great idea. The free'd up RAM will be useful too, as well as some of the other fixes.

Brilliant!
