Alternatively, you can prevent the Kronos from reacting to these MIDI messages. In Global mode, select the MIDI tab and sub-tab and look at the top right hand part of the screen. There are options for whether or not the Kronos responds to various change messages. I suspect you want to uncheck the ...

Sander, mine's working fine. Only just tried the dragging business tonight but so far no trouble. The only thing I don't like is that your finger has to move further than the slider moves. E.g if I move a slider from 0 to 127, when I've finished my finger is somewhere over the pan knob and sometimes ...

They are based on velocities not volume as such. I think they are showing volume levels. For most sounds, volume is dependent on velocity so from that point of view they are indirectly indicating velocity. But the reason I think it's indicating volume is that if you hold down a continously sounding ...

I love this update. The string resonance option works very well I think. I've been dialling in some (the setting of 19 or 20 as recommended earlier in this thread seems to work well). I've been comparing the sound with my acoustic piano and it's definitely a step nearer that. It seems to add some ...

Hmm, that's a bit worrying. I was just about to install the new OS but now I'm not so sure.....

I've got the 61 version. I use two keyboards when playing live: a stage piano on the lower tier and the Kronos on the upper tier. The upper tier is angled down which makes the screen quite readable although optimally it could do with being slightly more angled. I see that the screen on the new ...

Well, at the risk of being in a minority of one, I'll stick my neck out and say that I don't like the wood end panels on the new Kronos. So I'm happy to stick with my KronosX 61 - just as well as it's only a few months old. And anyway, a new keyboard purchase so soon after the last one would be ...

Derek, I went for the slightly less powerful 400VA version simply on the grounds that it weighs less. Every gram counts these days!

Thanks for the replies Sweat and keyguy. Nothing doing with your suggestions, but I have now fixed the problem by switching local off on the SP200. Why this makes a difference, I have no idea; I didn't have to do this on the Roland FP-7. Anyway, a fix is a fix and I'll happily take it.

Sound cutting off

Hello Kronos community. I hope someone can help with this one, it's a bit strange... I am using a 2-keyboard setup with my KronosX61 on the higher tier, and my trusty old Korg SP200 on the lower tier, MIDIed up to my Kronos. The idea is to use the Kronos for all sounds, setting up combis as ...
