Isn't the same with O? Sorry, Cello, but not as far as I'm concerned. If I (like you) had bought my Oasys a few weeks ago at a much reduced price with the full knowledge that there was no further support expected, I would (like you) be unreservedly delighted with my purchase. However, I paid full ...

Ricky, If the problem is intermittent it could point to a hardware problem. I had a similar (but not the same) problem with my touchscreen. Problem was that the screen was blank, but the touch part actually still worked (if I pressed a part of the screen I could hear the beep, although I didn't know ...

Myself and a guy whose ebay name is saynotofraudsters have had some fun scambaiting (leading them on) these people. This is a link to scambuster's site (Gilbert Murray) - it isn't quite the same, but along the same lines and makes me laugh: http://www.scambuster419.co.uk There is a section on ...

Thanks, Tony. I simply quoted your thoughts and wanted to answer them successively. I didn't want to skip/miss them (this topic is already full of opinions). This is what is the "quote" button for, not? I'm happy you're not annoyed with me. The same here. No problem here 8) Tony.

Re: OASYS = scary! :-)

...And I would ask you to go easy on Akos - Akos is a cool character and surely he's trying to put a positive slant on the future and not come at you per-say? Kevin. I'm sure Akos is a very nice person. However he decided to quote multiple paragraphs from my post and then chose to debate/disagree ...

Akos, I'm getting a bit tired of being given sermons about whether I should complain about the lack of future proofness of the Oasys. If I had bought my Oasys second hand last week with full knowledge that Korg were discontinuing further improvement I wouldn't complain. But that isn't the case. I ...

Re: Someone owning a Roland VP-7 here?

Hi, I have a question about the Roland VP-7 that maybe someone who has it already can answer me to help me decide if its worth to buy it. The music stores in my region doesn't have it on stock so I can't test it. I know it has a Vocoder and the Vocal Designer (harmonizer) which can be used with the ...

We also have to consider that OASYS is made in low-series production and already discontinued. It's a rarity therefore its value may rise. Anyhow, when I sit down to play music I can easily forget the price. Always. Not sure how the Oasys being discontinued and support all but finished should help ...

You'll get over it once you find the limitations of the sequencer and the PC integration. Korg did a survey few years back. I was most vocal about the sequencer upgrades but just about everyone else favored newer sound upgrades over the sequencer. Hence Korg graciously gave them all the bells and ...

Do you forsee any reduction in price for the OASYS Plug-ins now that the OASYS is discontinued?
I would have thought there was more chance of an Oasys sequencer update

And whatever happened to Legacy Digital Collection for the Oasys? Modelled M1 and Wavestaton would be way more use to me than MOD-7 :x Tony. I imagine they thought it would be partly redundant as the OASYS already has advanced wavesequencing, vector, and sampling synthesis. Fair comment. But they ...

Id gladly trade 71,000+ FM sounds for a piano roll option on the sequencer.

Actually I couldn't find a sarcastic emoticon :x :D I don't know if it's referred to my post. If it's so I wasn't saying that the Oasys sucks (and I wasn't comparing it to the M3 specifically), I've already stated that sounds very good, but only that the sound banks are a little outdated compared ...
