Trust me, I've read ALL of the threads about how some people feel that Korg went out of their way to screw their customers by releasing a new OASYS like workstation while abandoning the OASYS which should have been supported well past the deaths of every living member of the KORG family. I just ...

Would it cure your being pissed more if they merely canceled the KRONOS and came out with nothing? Life is too short to be pissed over material things... Surprised you don't by now what has pissed me (and plenty more) off about Korg and the Oasys. Maybe I should repeat myself more often. Not ...

Beat yourself up all you want, Tony. But I am jumping up and down with excitement! I can't WAIT to get my hand on this puppy! :D Sina Sina, so to understand you, I can cure myself being pissed about Korg's treatment of high end customers by buying a Kronos :-k Not sure how that works. Anyway, you ...

It's OK, Tony (I'm not completely happy either) just wanted to say I think it makes not much sense to talk more about it. Especially in this form: "if I were a user I would be pissed". Just an observation Akos, but you perpetuate these threads even more than I do  I'm always happy to take the ...

Just found out about Kronos a few days ago. Today was the first time I did any research on it. If I were a Oasys user, I would be pissed that Korg stopped developing Oasys and released an entirely new flagship workstation. So would I. Hang on........I am an Oasys user.......and you're right, I am ...

I think it is highly unlikely that you would be able to pursuade any Oasys owners to copy the 4 discs for you. Certainly as far as I am concerned refusing to copy is the only way I can help to ensure that no stolen Oasys keyboards are activated, especially if you "no longer have the CDs because of a ...

Good to hear and of course you'll use the repair guy again.

Goes without saying that there is a moral to this story that Korg might want to take heed of

Re: My OASYS has been repaired!

I don't know if this would be a new topic, or if i was supposed to find the original topic I made and reply to it, so it may have to be moved. I was asked though when I found out what the problem was I would let everyone know. I originally posted about my KORG OASYS 88 locking up at the load screen ...

I've had the occasional "freeze" when switching off/on is the only cure.

I am waiting for Korg to fix this bug when they release the next OS update :wacky:

I understand Oasys owners being disgruntled. I'm one of them. But to do without the LAC-1, MOD-7 and EXs3 expansions for spite is pointless. You're only screwing yourself....and your Oasys. I have LAC-1. If I had needed MOD-7 or EXs3 I would have bought them long before Korg renegued on ...

They could offer a rebate on future Korg purchases for those who did buy them and offer them for free to everyone else a sort of middleground Ah but you are obviously a very reasonable person who might rightly consider high end customers as people you should respect and ensure they remain happy. I ...

I think Korg should leave well enough alone regarding the codes because it wouldn't be fair to those who've already purchased them. Besides, Korg would stand to loose money in doing so. And, as we've seen with the premature demise of the Oasys, they're doing what's necessary to avoid non-profitable ...

This is why I was really hoping that Korg Japan would provide free unlock codes for all of the OASYS instruments as a goodwill gesture to those owners who have not yet purchased them. And so say all of us.... [-o< I'd start a poll on this but it would just give Korg something else to laugh at and ...

The Kronos is also only a higher version of the OASYS software. There is nothing stopping KORG from selling the OS to run on the OASYS if they wanted to. I don't know if it's possible. But what could be the reason? Technical, business? The reason is simple. Korg have no interest in high end ...
