Kronos has no CD drive so I guess tjat answers your question.

If it had one it wouldn't affect the quality if you burned it intenally or on a pc - the digital music would be the same 1s and 0s no matter the burning device

Just saw this video, an example of what the Nord organ can do. It's very very far from beeing cheesy sounding. I don't demand that a Kronos should sound like this, but as said, the closer we can come the better

Sina, I picked one up based on your feedback and it has the same symptoms as previously reported in this thread (although for non-Octane drives) with the format hanging when the bar reaches W. I'm using the exact drive you linked on Newegg. Can you please explain what you did to get yours formatted ...

I belive Sample Robot will export to Korg format in their next update, so one option is to wait until that is released..

Thing is: Kronos is allready filled with crazy amounts of great sounds (and programs) even without the expansions. It's also priced similary to the other synths in the same category, only you get so much more with the Kronos than with the Motif for instance.. Every workstation has it's weak points ...

Is the KSL only strings or is it other orchestral instruments as well? About two weeks ago some youtube demos came up on Medusalands channel so at least it's work in progress. Some of the stuff sounds incredible but I have to check out Korgs Legendary strings aswell now that that one seems to be on it's way.

The Mellotron flute are so much more than an attempt to replicate flutes, it's such a distinct sound in it's own right. My guess is that someone (George Martin??) just tried it and realized that it sounded awesome. With real flutes it would have been very different and I guess this is the effect ...
