Buska, you playing into the joke or do you have proof?
Bit of both..
He's pretty much stopped any talk about the emx2 and has been posting about how the emx1 is still his favourite piece of kit

I used a single cycle waveform, which was exactly 675 notes long. Which is a C note, according to abletons tuner.

Yeah I guess in really looking for something hands on, don't really want a rack sampler. If I was going for rack it would use the vp9000 or buy a s612 Akai, mainly because of the way you can tweak them live. I used to have a s612 and really regret selling the thing. The vp9000 is in storage 750km ...

Esx or Es2? Melodic samples

Ok so I'm back again, after selling my emx2 I bought a SP404 and I love the thing, the fx are killer. But it can't do pitched melodic playback So now I'm looking at either a esx1 or an es2 for melody stuff.. Now I will be using it with an external midi sequencer so I'm not too concerned with the seq ...

Flux mode needed badly, I would buy another emx2 if they add this. Or a es2.
That's a promise haha :D

Anyone getting the beatstep pro for their volca?

http://www.synthtopia.com/content/2015/ ... s-on-demo/

Looks perfect for the volca range, even has sync out!

Only problem might be the multi midi channels on the volca sample, not sure if this thing can send individual pads to individual midi channels..

DSP isn't powerful enough? They sent people to the moon with less. There was no DSP there those days. It is time to google DSP. .. It is NOT a a CPU... The moon analogy is actually a good one... especially in regards to the power consumption... A lot of compromises to use smaller CPU on the Apollo ...

I don't understand who wouldn't want to change a sample live from time to time?! Even working with 8 bars, and even with Pattern Chaining on the ESX, I still change samples quite frequently. It is essential to my performance workflow. Im not sure if you're agreeing with my point, or you've misread ...
