Hey Cnegrad,
I can't bear to see this thread go on any longer without a "non-Platinum" user speaking up and helping to deflate this irrelevant conversation.
Nav or chillinout or whoever you are.....
Despite your own assumption.....you are welcome here at Korg Forums ( formerly known as Irish Acts, but you knew that ). Please know that too many of us are disappointed in our first impression of you. Sir, Your insulting posts are less than desirable. Your tact and conversation is confrontational, provoking, and flat out disrespectful. You are better than this sir. We simply don’t disrespect anyone here and you have done so. But even so I want to give you the benefit of the doubt.
Your introduction needs work. Your haven't been around here as long as you claim, because your overview of Korg Forums and its users ( me ) is far from truth. So since we haven't been formally introduced and your
introduction is beyond acceptable....let me start this off on a better note:
Hey, I am Cory, aka FireDude. Please know you are still welcome here. It is my suggestion that we start over.
A true sign of maturity is being able to take a step back from a situation and re-evaluate. So what I have to offer here is to aid you in your re-evaluation of Korg Forums ( aka Irish Acts ) and its incredibly talented, gifted, and always respectful users.
We are not Korg employees, however as Cnegrad said.....we are fortunate enough to have some KORG employees here as users. They drop into a thread here and there to help us out. FYI - They are personal users and not here as corporate appointed representatives, but you knew that too.
For what it’s worth sir.....I am not Korg anything. I, along with majority of the other users here, am a creative musician that plays on KORG, Alesis, Kurzweil, Yamaha, and anything else that will help me translate my creativity into sonic expressions of music and scores.
I can voucher for Cnegrad personally.....he is not KORG and even owns several other non KORG items, software, and V-synths in his studio. Gosh I want his Motif ES! Anyways, Cnegrad is also a professional musician that is very accomplished and as humble as they come for what he does and where he has been.
We here at Korg Forums do talk about other things that are non KORG related ( like this ) , however it is vital that you understand KORG is our common ground that binds us together. From the common thread of KORG we have come here, kindled friendships, and built a network of relationships that converse on these threads in the hope to learn, stretch, and grow in our music, creativity, and knowledge.......and other mindless banter too! We are not stiffs here ya know.
It most notable to me that you have a tremendous heart for people and a compassion for those that are suffering in the US due to the tragic hit of Hurricane Katrina. Me too! I am a firefighter paramedic for the Dept of Defense and am doing my part by donating blood and money to the efforts of the red cross. I also know and support many of the troops and supplies that are being deployed to Louisianna and Mississippii from my base as we speak. Please understand that most everyone here at Korg Forums is sympathetic to the tragedies that are affecting our world, however we do what we can there and also continue our lives here.
The recent thread from Sharp and Daz about the donation option....that is what it is......an option.....that you and anyone else here at Korg Forums is not obligated to..... is what we have priorly agreed upon. I can point you to countless threads and conversations here and at KarmaForums ( our home after the sudden loss of Irish Acts ISP ) that openly discussed what and how we should do this donation thing. A consensus was presented and agreed upon and is now what you see in place in this thread. The only thing Korg does for us is list our website on their website as a 3rd party link and resource. End of story.
It is obvious that you have watched our transition from Irish Acts to our new home here at Korg Forums and it is even more obvious to me that we have met before, but under another sir name. Must we repeat history like this every few months. If so…..I will be here.
Our statement is the same:
With all due respect.....
Take a load off, enjoy the threads, leave the donating to us, and please behave this time. If you have a problem be a part of the solution and not the problem itself.
Re introduce yourself at the New Members Zone thread.
See ya there,
Cory
P.S. Oasys pricing topic has come and gone. And "for your age" you should display some more wisdom! With all due respect of course.
