This is NUTZ!
It really sux..this is the deal:
I load the REAL DRUMS CARD for example, i delete all the KITS except the
first 4, go to SAMPLING MODE and DELETE ALL UNASIGNED SAMPLES.
It does, they are out of memory but the names are stil there, and the next
SAMPLE loads from number 400 while all before that is just empty names.
You cant get rid of them...now you restart and reload the 4 KITS hoping it
will load only the necesary 25 SAMPLES and REASIGN them on its own...
NO! LOADS everything again with empty names.
Next, you restart with PCM AUTOLOAD OFF, you take the USB disk out, you
ERASE the SET from USER, you go to PROGRAM MODE, click RECORD and it
LOADS the same $hit again, from where???
HOW DO I GET THE SAMPLING MEMORY COMPLETELY EMPTY, WITH NOTHING,
NO EMPTY NAMES, NO SAMPLES NOTHING...YOU RESTART ITS EMPTY,
ONCE YOU PRESS RECORD IT LOADS ON ITS OWN...FROM WHERE???

Damn i am almost suicidal, i havent seen anything worst then this.
Then, after reloading the DELETED SAMPLE again, goes all the way upfront the
empty positions and goes into another 5-6 positions backwards in the ones
that have only names.KORG what the hell? This is a shame.
You are way behind YAMAHA.
The biggest problems is there is no way of getting the RAM BLANK EMPTY!
Delete the samples and the names are still there, empty, positions busy.
Restart and LOAD a single PCG, it pulls all PCMs with it, not only its own.
THIS SUX ! ! !

How stupid is this, you RESET the whole F$%^ng thing and the names are
still in there, LOAD a stupid PCG on its own, it pulls 3 millions PCMs with it.
Instead of pulling its own samples and reasigning them...same as on any
other keyboard that exists...at least YAMAHA.

Hi Nedim,
Sorry but, even if you are right you don't have to shout and write this way! Korg will see your posts and surely will reply soon or later. I think I have such a problem with my PA1X (I must make some more tests to be sure) but we must have patience! Even if they have seen your topic they have to test it before they reply to you or to me. Don't you think?
Regards,
Dimitris

No, there is no solution to the problem yet. Nedim is right, this is really annoying...the way I am loading samples now is, whenever I finish loading a drum kit or an instrument the way I want I make a backup of the RAM and in case I mess up somewhere I restore the previous backup...this really reminds me of Korg PA80 when I had to load samples this way...the delete function on PA800 is completely useless if this does not get fixed and hopefully it will be soon, or that might be one of the new features on the new Korg PA arranger

They gonna come up now with some funny answer but hey, listen:
I am no KID, i do this for the last 15 years of my life, i know what SAMPLING
means a lot more then the KORG tehnicians so noone can fool me.
I know exactly what i need and what i am talking about.
It is a stupid function that exists even on the cheapest synth.
You cant get CLEAN RAM on a 2500$ machine, isnt this stupid?

And the worst of all is this PCM AUTOLOAD $hit...you delete all of the SETS
in USER SSD, you delete the EXISTING SET and all the banks are EMPTY,
you take the USB stick out, you delete all MULTISAMPLES and SAMLES inside,
you shut the synth off, you REINSTALL the whole machine, you restar it,
you go to PROGRAM MODE to an EMPTY program, you hit RECORD to go to
SAMPLING and the piece of $hit start LOADing PCMs from somewhere...
you go inside and you find the PCMs you used before instalation...
Where the HELL did it come from, Where the HELL does it upload from
when everything is out and deleted???
KORG?

Nedim,
ON the PA1XPRO if you load a new operating system and turn on the keyboard while holding down the intro1 button, this would clear all the rom and ram in the keyboard. Even the "factory styles" would show "empty". Once you loaded the .bkp resource folder you would get all the factory styles and sounds again. This might be able to be done on your PA800 if you load the operating system again by downloading the operating system from the korgpa website and holding down the intro1 button while starting the load of the operating system. This is just a thought. I will call Korg USA Monday morning and ask the product manager for the arranger keyboards to read your posts and see if there is anyway of doing what you want to do.

Yes George but this is a Tehnical Issue which you wouldnt understand.
The way you say it...i have to do that like 20 times a day when switching
between sets and stuff, its not a ONE SHOT issue, it is something in general
use. It is something that every keyboard is able to do it except PA800.
I cant really explain what it is if you dont know about it, it is very simple
but in here pretty messed up and i know its not the BOARD, it is the OS.
Probably KORG will work on it, since they are MUTE now, always happens
when some REBELS like me appear in here. But hey, i paid for certain
expectations, i hope they will get back to us...
