Syncing microKORG...

Post by dextroc »

Always when I use microKORG as a slave to ableton Live it wants to arpeggiate at 3x speed. I've been meddling with the clocking and stuff, but no luck. Used several different midi interfaces, but no luck either. What could be the issue?

I had a similar problem with Live too. I configured Live to send to clock to a couple of ports on my 8 port MIDI interface and the result was the synced instruments were running at crazy speeds in comparison to the tempo. I eventually found that changing the configuration so that clock was sent to just a single port on that MIDI interface would actually do I wanted, namely to send clock to all of the ports. Very strange.

Try changing the configuration in Live so that clock is only sent to the first port on your multi-port interface and see if that corrects things.

In my case I was using Live on Mac OS X with an Emagic AMT8 MIDI interface.

I figured out the problem. Too "clever" "MIDI interface". Using the ports on my remote SL, and I had to mess with the internal settings there a bit. Found the one button that could save me, although I totally screwed up the connectivity between it and Live in the process of looking for it. haha
More work to be done, I suppose.
