Hi there.
I am a triton extreme new user and i have some doubts.
When I enter to combi or program mode, the tempo led from arpegiator its on-off, on-off, on-off without the arpegiator button active. This is normal?
One more question. In some sounds, when the valve its active, there is a "shh" sound very pronounced... this is normal?
Sorry my baaaaad english!!!
Regards!

Yes, it's normal. It blinks all the time, doesn't matter if arpeggiator is on or off, led is just blinking in preset tempo rate. When I enter to combi or program mode, the tempo led from arpegiator its on-off, on-off, on-off without the arpegiator button active. This is normal?
Depending on gear you connect Extreme too, it could be normal, some mixers and stuff seem not to support Valve force very well and tend to distort when Valve force is on.In some sounds, when the valve its active, there is a "shh" sound very pronounced... this is normal?
If that "shh" is very subtle, then it's OK, try lowering Valve force gain on those sounds that does the "shh" or disengaging Valve force and you'll be OK.
Hi, kabuchi.
Did you get flight case, btw?
I don't use CDS with samples. I'm kind of "do it myself" freak, so I use just a few samples from others, most of my samples I did myself.
And all of my programs are all totally mine, I don't use stuff you can download, tried it few times and wasn't satisfied with them.
I know there are some CD's with samples on market but never did buy one.
So, this doesn't actually answer your question, but if you try looking on net I'm sure you'll find bunch of those CD's or something.
It's kind of thrilling when you have sound no one else has, you know, that's way it's always the best to make them on your own.
Lot's of people sample instruments making some number of recorded samples and making Extreme calculate them in semitones. For example, you sample one key and Extreme calculates 2 semitones above and below. I don't do that. Key for a key, that's it for me.
Regards, shrike

Time is issue in my case also, I have a full time job not related to music so besides that and my wife, there is no much time left for sampling, programming, maintaining skill in my fingers and learning new songs. But I don't sleep much, 4 to 6 hours, so I manage somehow.
I'm glad you got yourself decent case for your Extreme, just be sure that you make that handle nice and sturdy, but I'm sure you will.
About akai samples - I had big trouble finding them so in time stopped even searching.
For what I play, don't thing they would do me much good.
Keep on playing, kabuchi
