Hi Stephen,
I learnt the hardway about backing up.

I accidently deleted a couple of styles I'd been working on. Hours wasted haahaa. I meant to delete some user styles I'd converted for someone & I accidently wiped them all.

I now have backups in the korg, on a usb stick & I also transferred them via usb cable to my laptop. That's a really handy way of backing up to pc.
Only just discovered how to do that. Hadn't realized the usb cable was used for transferring styles as well as for midi.

Rikki, good information as well. I had a little mishap and forgot to save settings I save to the custom songbook and had to re enter them. Fortunately there were only about 15 entries I lost.
best wishes
Rikki

When I first started using the PA800 almost a year ago, I did what Donny suggested to you and deleted the factory songbook entries. I'm not sure how many tunes I now have stored in the songbook, but I think it's approaching 500 or so with no problems so far. Good luck, have fun.
Ciao,
Jerry
Jerry thanks for the info, looks like I'll have more than enough room. I'll wind up with anywhere from 500 to 700 entries.

Rikkisbears, Good point about the USB cable, never thought too much about using it to transfer styles and midis since I've been doing it via a USB stick. But sounds like a good alternative.
