Newbie Question on Patterns

Post by hooks85 »

When I'm making a pattern, its just like an 8 count beat, but when I'm listening to some of the default patterns, they seem to be like 8 x 8 count if this makes sense. I can only make one loop that keeps repeating and have to save the same loop into multiple slots. For example, i make an 8 second beat then save it to C24, then save that same beat to C25 and make a small change, say add a snare. Im getting the same effect, but im wondering how to do it all in one pattern. Basically, is there a way to stretch my pattern out longer?

Hey buddy,

Welcome to the Electribe forums.

To increase the beats of a pattern you click your "Pattern" button on the left side of the ESX-1, it's right underneath the LCD screen.

After that you use your down arrow on the left side to move down to "Length"

After this, turn your knob to select the desired number of 16 beat patterns you want.

Make sure the ESX-1 is NOT playing a pattern at the time. (Stop it)

You can go up to 8x16 beats.

Good Luck!

Post some material when you make it! If you need help setting up recording software or webcam / audio stations, jsut ask!

I will be happy to help.

Take care friend!

(btw if this did not help ask and I can explain better!)

Peace
