Hello Rob:
I received the Instructional Videos in the mail on Saturday and I am tickled pink, "ecstatic". Thank you so much! I am extremely impressed by the thoroughness and professional quality of your project. It is evident that the topics which you chose to included reflect the multitude of questions that you must have received in the past via the Forum and else where. You hit the nail on the head "perfectly" and addressed many questions.
You and your team are to be commended for such a comprehensive under taking. I know that you and your team must have spent many, many, laborious hours on the project. You truly gave of your selves. Please pass on my full appreciation and thanks to Paul, Michael, Worth and Chris for their stupendous effort, superb contribution and quality end product.
I've had my Pa1x since September and it is not intuitive. For me it has been a process of trial and error in my attempt to discovered the magic pathways. A specific obstacle for me has been the misleading terminology used which takes my mind down a wrong pathway. The best example I can give is in regards to adding a song from the Major Song list to the Customized list. It gives the option of "Add to List" and that is an aptly descriptive, obvious and helpful title for that option however when it comes to saving the song on the customized list it gives the options of either "Rename/Overwrite" or "New List". When I first encountered this, I knew that I did not want a "New List", I just wanted to add the song to my customized list. But that option was not presented. I also knew that I did not want to risk losing my customized list by "Overwriting it". So I did neither and then couldn't figure out why the new song was not being saved. At such a juncture the most logical command options should have included "Save song" to customized list". After about one week of frustration I finally decided to risk losing the costume list by using the “Overwrite” option. And that did the trick. Korg could have made the options more explicative.
Another example of confusion is when I attempt to add a song, which I had customized from the styles section, to the Major Song Book List. In this instance, when you press the Song Book tab a factory song, which is already on the list is automatically highlighted with the title of the factory song displayed. This misleading deceptive drizzle is carried over into the "Edit Book 1" page where you are given the option of "Delete Song", "New Song" or "Write" So when you attempt to add your customized song it appears that you may replace the factory song which, at that point, is all that you see. I could give several examples of this sort however I'm sure you're already aware of all them.
My point is that the option titles which are given by Korg are very often misleading and do not give an intuitive cue to lead you to the next logical step. I suspect that this is likely a result of translation from perhaps the original Japanese Option Titles into English ones.
In any event, I find "Korg Arranger Secrets" to be exceedingly helpful and a huge success. It fills in the gaps and shortcomings of the factory format. The instrument should not be a puzzle like Rubik's Cube, however I realize and accept the difference between what should be and what is. The Korg Pa1x is truly an ingenious, powerful and remarkable instrument and with the "Arranger Secrets" I am finally on my way to "cracking the secret code" to realize it's incredible potential.
Thanks you so much for all your hard work, I am truly grateful and appreciative. And again I wish to reiterate, that you and your team are to be commended for such a comprehensive under taking and the many, many, laborious hours spent. You truly gave of your selves. Once again please pass on my full appreciation and thanks to Paul, Michael, Worth and Chris for their stupendous effort, superb contribution and quality end product.
Rob ~ I have only used PayPal in conjunction with eBay. Is it possible to use my PayPal account to reimburse you? If so, let me know.
Thanks again ~ Charley Brown

Pa1X Arranger Secrets
Got my DVD's the other day, also. A great big THANKS to all involved in the making of these disks. They are very precise and easy to follow (unlike the Pa1X manual). Keep up the excellent work. Thanks.

Wow, thank you very much for these kind words! It's reviews and feedback like this that make our hobby so enjoyable. And inspire us onto the next project - maybe a fourth DVD in the series later in 2008.
Re PAYPAL - there is an option to "send a payment", you just specify the account name that Worth sent you in the DVD package.
Best regards,
Rob
