That is a BEAUTIFUL sounding track! Did you use the Water Piano for the Piano Track? I love it! I also like how the drums slowly kick in. VERY soothing.

Sina
Hi Sina,
glad you like it and thanks for your kind words. :D
Yes, you're right, i used the Water Piano. Could there be another piano sound in this wet track ... ?
The drums are from Logic's Ultrabeat which i love more and more.
The drops were taken from Logics loop-library.

Regards,
Ebse.

Ebse

It reminds me of Andreas Vollenweider.
Is he one of your influences?

I guess it reminds you on the intro of "caverna magica". But the initial idea came from diving, therefore "tara" taken from the german word "tarieren" which describes the process of getting the balance between buoyancy and its opposite of which I do not know the english word. Ebse then added the drops and I added some reverb.. and the rain was another aquatic addition contributed by Mr. Ebse.

We have this track in a 5.1 dolby surround cersion which is... but ok, I am biased. Some people here listened to that version already. I am not sure anymore if Charlie was one of them.

Yes, Caverna Magica and if anyone listens closely, there's a slight few seconds of White Winds at about 17 seconds in.
It's a nice song and I can just imagine how the water drops would sound in dolby surround 5.1.
I too enjoy Ambient, downtempo, electronica, experimental, film.

Great job!!

@Peter: yes - I had the pleasure listening to it in your studio. And I still like it a lot! Esp. the unique breathing sound adds a lot of athmosphere 8)

Thanx to all of you for the very nice and motivating feedback!

Concerning the .mp3 conversion, do you have a 5.1 system, sirCombatWombat? Maybe then I can upload the 6 audio files.. but they are not the smallest ones as you can imagine.

Charlie, I was not sure whether you heard it in 5.1, I am sure Kurt aka medusaland did and of course Ebse.

Not at my studio, but I have a home theater system with 5.1.
The file size was the reason I suggested the mp3 surround encoding,
I understand that the demoversion too has encoding enabled.
Does public sharing count as commercial action?

hm... good question, but as there is no commercial interest...

as soon as I am back I can check this.

WOW! Love the melody and the mood of the start!
I like mix #1 more, the reverb gives more distance, a bit more melancholy.
But to my taste the beat and e.piano are too uplifting, I would prefer darker mood.
The lead is great sounding, is that the STR-1?

agree !! .. but have to edit the vox track as there is some "noise" that needs to be removed.

hm.. a good alternative

if you mean the sound @ appr. 1:50 then "yes", this is one of the many great STR-1 factory sounds.

Um, no, I meant the sound on top of the pad from 00:50 to 01:27, I guess that is the Nord then?

no, that is a modified version of sound # (I guess) A-013 "synthsax solo".

nord is making this crazy distorted pad in the third part.
