Who Townsend Emminence Front keyboard sound

Post by h8hoos »

I am a guitar player that just bought a TR61. I'm not really studying the manual (I know I have to), but was wondering if someone on this forum could help/show/teach me how to get the Emminence Front keyboard sound. I don't know where to start. Or will this TR even come up with that sound? Thanks in advance for any and all help.

Eminence Front sounds

Post by audioshockandawe »

Hey bro! I too was a guitar player but instead of a TR I got a 61 key Triton LE. I quit both for a while but now I've got an M-Audio 88es and a Korg Triton Rack loaded with the LE sounds. Anyway I first heard Eminence Front years ago before I started playing keys, while I was playing guitar, and ironically, what really hit me about that song was the bass!!! Anyway sorry I'm rambling I'm not quite sure about what sounds are on the TR but if you band out some F octaves with an electric piano sound you should come pretty close, at least for the intro anyway, I cant really remember the rest of the song, as I think he was using a Rhodes, at least it sounds like it. Try playing it with different electric piano sounds, maybe layered with an M1 organ patch? Hope this helps.
