Problem with new OS and recording MP3 on my PA2Xpro

Hi,
i have the very big problem after upgrading my PA2x Pro with the last OS.
When i recording the mp3 with internal MP3 recorder usually the MP3 Recorder crashes! The rest of the keyboard working well but the screen of the MP3 recorder remains blocked after press the "STOP" button and i reset the PA2x for unlock the MP3 Recorder! With the old OS i don't have this problem! Any solution?

Does the MP3 recorder work correctly if you reload the original OS 1.0 and Musical Resources 1.0 from CD? Also can you confirm that you loaded both the new OS 1.1 and the new Musical Resources 1.1 files?

i loaded correctly the OS 1.10 and Musical Resources 1.1 and MP3 Recorder does not work well. Tonight i loaded the previous OS 1.00 and Musical Resources 1.0 from CD and test the MP3 Recorder. If this works with the OS 1.00 why not work with the OS 1.10?

I confirm that they are some bugs with the mp3 record panel. Just now the panel is showing "recording" but the file lenght doesn't increase and the STOP function doesn't work. I can't exit from record mode! I will turn off the PA2x.

Sometimes I have the same problem on my PA800. I cannot stop mp3 recording, have to turn the kb off/on to reset, and recording is lost.
And ofcourse, this happens when you think you have good recording Waiting for the new OS

Test 1:

My Pa2x arrived today, OS1.0 was loaded. MP3 recording and playback works fine. I haven't done much yet on the keyboard apart from playing built in styles. I'm about to upgrade to OS1.1 & MR1.1. Will report back re MP3 after I've done it.

Just finished upgrade to OS1.1 and MR1.1 on new Pa2x, checked MP3 recording and playback. Works fine so far.

Rob, congratulations on the new Pa2X. The transition from Tyros 2 has been slow but I am so pleased I have done it!

Congratulation Rob for your pa2x Its the best arranger keyboard I've seen until now. I never had a problem with mp3 recording. I recorded about 100 times. I canceled, start again many times.. No problem. with the 2 OS.

The problem is not that your Pa2x has no problem when recording Mp3. The problem is that some PA2x have bug in mp3 recording mode.

Not. I reinstalled OS 1.00 (because of a very annoying bug with vocal harmonizer in OS 1.10) and it works perfectly.

Yes I know. I am trying to help. I was testing to see if the MP3 recording problem is due to a coding error in the MP3 code in either OS1.0 or OS1.1. Therefore, this is not seem to be where the fault lies. Possibly it could be a hardware fault in just a few keyboards, or ... there could still be a "SSD corruption" problem hangover from the sampling bugs (memory leak) with OS1.0 ...

Although the sampling memory leak is probably fixed in OS1.1, there is a possibility that the previous "SSD corruption" from OS1.0 is not cleared yet and may still be preventing MP3 recording and other things from working. I think that your Pa2x SSD needs to be reformatted using the Korg utility program referred to in the "Pa2x Loading OS and Resources.pdf" guide that is within the folder "Pa2x_res_v110". It says:

If loading the Pa2x_os_res_v[nnn].pkg file does not sol;ve the malfunctioning, we suggest you download the Pa2x_Format.pkg program from the web site www.korgpa.com and follow the supplied instructions to format the internal SSD memory.

Paolo sent this to a number of people for testing, but it's not currently posted on www.korgpa.com. After running the format utility and reloading OS1.1 and MR1.1, then I think your MP3 functionality may work again.

If anyone reading this has a copy of the format utility that Paolo sent you, and so long as there are no restrictions placed on you, could you please email me a copy?

Could you elaborate please? I was just using the Pa2x OS1.1 vocal harmoniser earlier today and thinking that the EFX etc are much improved compared with Pa1x.

I don't know how the SSD works. My PA2x uses about 50Mo of samples, and they all work perfectly. Anyway I reloaded OS 1.00 because I use vocal processor a lot, in song play mode, and a bug prevent the use of it this way.
I will wait next OS.
