Remaining bugs in Pa2x OS1.10

Post by UKSimon »

I thought I would list the outstanding bugs in OS 1.10. Some of these are my own but also some I’ve gathered from other posters here. There still seems to be a few issues that only affect certain users such as the MP3 recording playing up, which I haven’t included here.

Paolo is aware of some of these and he said they will be fixed in the next release but I thought it would be a good idea to get all these in one place to make sure we’ve covered everything we can.

Please feel free to add other bugs you’ve found, and hopefully it’s early enough for the developers to have a look at these before the next roll out.

1.You can't store the status of the Mic on/off switch in the songbook.

2.Setting the maximum output level of the MP3 players in Global gets disregarded if you move the MP3 fader.

3. If you are using a Custom List in the Songbook and you push the physical Lyrics button, it take you to the lyrics as it should, but when you deselect the button it takes you back to the main Songbook not the Custom List you were using.

4. Lyrics font size is not stored in Songbook. When Pa2x is switched on the default size is Big.

5. The Pa2xPro is interpreting the end of a midi file by the last note off command. This means that as soon as the last note off is read the player stops and resets to the beginning. Even if the midi file loaded into the Pa2x has a complete empty bar at the end this is being cut short. What this means in practice is that if you have a cymbal crash as your last note in the file, the sound is completely cut off because the sound tail is longer than the actual note length in the file.

6. Fast Play isn't always picking up the controler CC91 value quick enough even though it's programmed before the first note. This means that on some midi files the reverb is kicking in after the first note.

7. Local Off bug. The accompaniment section still responds to key presses on the Pa keys even though Local is set to OFF.

8. In song play mode, using "notes" harmony mode. Latch on is locked, and each harmonized note stays until the next recorded note. This can be intermittent, Turning the Pa2x off and on sometimes corrects this but not always.

Cheers
