Arp Octave function

howzit

is it possible to use the other octaves in the arp settings...on the editor it alows you to choose up to octave 4 but can you just play octave 4, or does the whole pattern have to run.

Let me know if i'm not clear.

You are not clear. I think the arpeggiator allows a four octave range - where that sits in the scale will depend on the note[s] you play.

sorry for not being clear. So you can add each octave of the 4 to a note? how do i do that?

example: the drum settings, when you select one if the Drum and Bass ones, and set it to 4 octave, it changes the pattern every one or 2 bars, can i chose which one to use for a certain note.

When you select "4 octave", you are telling the arpeggiator to repeat the arp pattern [up, down or whatever] over a four octave range. i.e. The note you play, followed by one octave up, then 2 octaves, then 3, then 4. If you choose "1 octave", you just get the original note followed by one octave up. So the greater the range, the more notes will be played before the pattern starts to repeat. If you play around with different settings, using a simple pattern, it should become clear fairly easily.
