display panel - Split Screen

Post by since1982 »

My Korg X50 has only been a day old.. it's hooked up to the comp and i have the editor software on but when i tried the combi modes the screen on my keyboard becomes like this:

Does anyone know why is that so? Am i doing anything that may be harmful to my korg? ):

Lol, do you have any warranty time left? Ummm... this looks like wondering why space shuttle comes back without wings... Buddy that's extremely not normal

Edit ! don't touch anything on your korg or your computer mouse when you're openning the editor and it's synchronizing... This is the only thing coming to ma mind.

khortoom thanks so much for your reply! yup apparently it isn't normal and i only found that out when i brought the unit back to the stores for them to have a look.. the staff exchanged it with another brand new unit. the second one has been fine so far! thanks alot again! (:

i guess its korg x50s major problem.. weak LCD...

I use my x50 for almost 6 months,
sometimes Im getting the same problem... unreadble.. sometimes no display at all (but generating sound)

and sometimes, it works fine again.... I dont understand...

I already tried openning the keyboard and refreshed the LCD (by just touching, detaching and attaching it again)
-- note that everytime Im doin this, it will work fine again......

I guess the problem is a cause of carrying problem..when you take it to a gig, maybe the vibrations are causing this....
- to prove that this is wrong, I hope some user will comment that they are also having problem at home, without carrying it to other place....
