Hi.
I still use Cubase VST5...Still works for me despite its age!
I also use Pro Tools M-Powered, but that's for my audio duties. I feel that Cubase is better suited for MIDI than Pro Tools, and Pro Tools is better for recording audio because it was made for audio in the first place although it now has more MIDI functions than it ever did.

Since I stopped using a Hardware DAW, I've been a Sonar guy, I love it, started with Guitar tracks then Sonar 2, and now I'm using Sonar 7 Producer, I do use Acid Pro 6 for loop projects sometimes, that's a really good one also.

I just started using Reaper a couple weeks ago after reading about it here. I'm a newb when it comes to audio production, but I found it easy to get around and understand the basics without sifting through manuals. There's a lot of options in there that are way over my head, but it was simple enough to lay some keyboard and vocal tracks.
