I have my Acidlab Bassline ( in lovely blue, to match the MX ! :D ) permanently routed into the MXs audio-in....By using the MX's filters / overdrive / gated step sequencing / ENV triggering etc etc, coupled with the real analogue sound of the Acidlab ( which is a decent 303 clone, but has its own sound too ) I find I can get all manner of pumped up 'super-acid' on the go...
I have also coaxed some pretty decent acid sounds from the MX alone too, but overall the pairing of the two machines is pretty awesome & for the cash I'd heartily recommend the Acidlab to anyone after 'that' sound.

Guys .. lovin all the talk on acid noise here , im really into that kinda stuff . Im on a waiting list for xoxbox ... im lookin forward to the far off day when i can build it and tweak it up .

Still i find that the mx is capable of some serious analog super-303 stuff that i honestly think IS cooler sounding for most part than a 303 . it wasnt until i got new tubes that thse sounds were quite so good tho .
i'll post something l8tr maybe , just noise tweakin .

my music generally has the soundscapes of acid/jungle/techno no matter what speed im at . getting things to gel right can take some effort but its worth it cos playin this s**t is a buzz .

Whoa !!

i just came across this oldie on youtube ... its not that acidy by sounds , but i think the production and the way the elements work together make it sound awesome for its age . alot of modern minimal house/4-beat/grime/dubstep or whatever just doesnt feel as good .

ALOT of modern electronica sounds really false to me these days actually , this is classic stuff . love it 8)

Check guys .. http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=ZI9aORngK ... re=related

I remember that track! Yeah, not very tb303 but has a mad vibe. I love simple stabbed in vox samples. Hope it all comes back around, simple arrangements using 303's and 808's etc, that old sound, but phattened up and brought into the future, I want it all to be cool again. LETS MAKE IT COOL AGAIN! lol

This was a pretty wicked track to be playing back in the day in London, even when listening to it on tape recored from the radio covered in static! (on my mates dads Warfdale speakers haha)

Now dont get all nostalgic on my ass but this is very acid, is very corny, is very good. Have not heard in years. Simple classic Aciiiid lol

lovin that kinda stuff my man ... :) . acid techno was pretty happenin in my town when i was getting into dance tunes ,and i was mad for the wild acid noise ... then i got into dnb everything between the two .
But for the last couple of years ive been really into te more basic acid styles n sounds , this and MANY others really hit the spot for me .

Aceeeid !! Cheers , i forgot bout this one .
I like some fast eddie and def phuture ... and on a different style i rally like the old beltram stuff . Loads of great sounds in alot of these kinda trax , and the Electribes can do most of the sounds and alot more .

So guess im back into acid for a while again ........

I'm with you on that. Maybe using the acid sounds in a more toned down way or summink. Maybe not the full 8/16 bars as in the original stuff. mybe... Im gona try. But i'm pretty crap so will probably end up more like Fast Britney...

Last night I was trying to copy that Paul Woolford track Erotic Discourse, that mad modulated bass. love that sound, I heard it first at Nottinghill Carnival last year in London, it was dropped at Sancho Panza sound system and it was so different (just kick and modulated bass) it just went OFF!.. WooooOOOO!... Errr.. I'll get back on track..

Anyway, all I was trying to say is that I bumped into a sound very similar to lead arp from You Got The Love by the Source. I'll try to get it as good as I can and will post the settings (hope I don’t embarrass myself...)

Not sure what my point to this post was...
