HD or USB on korg pa50!

Post by ferenry »

Hi,
i'm a new users. I'll buy a korg pa50.
My question is: Is it possible install the hd (also 10gb) on pa50, or a usb interface to use a pendrive?
I read in other topic that it's possible but is necessary work on motherbord. There is another way?
however, it's possible load my midi song in SSD, or it is full from preset style, voice and demo?
many thanks.

There is a guy in Serbia who can put an HD and SAMPLING OPTION on your
PA50 but i wont recomend you to do something like that, you need a modified
PA80 OS too for that...for both options.

Cubase 8.5 Pro. Windows 7 X64. ASUS SaberTooth X99. Intel I7 5820K. ASUS GTX 960 Strix OC 2GB. 4x8 GB G.SKILL.

Hi, Please go for a PA500, instead of PA50. It is a wise investment for future.(of cource, if you've money.)

I bought my PA50 about 6 months ago, no money to upgrade now, and frankly if I had to upgrade I would go direct to the PA800. Helicon/3xUSB etc much better value.

But I'd like to know more about these "extensions" for PA50 that make it able to read flash or SD or USB/HD. Is that a HW kit ?

Hi All,

I just bought PA500, the sound is great. But there is some weakness:
1. PA500 has SD Card but it Won't Play style directly, you have to Copy to the User Style Area first. I wish Korg's Team will modify this.
2. The Pad is great feature but you don't know which parts is playing, there is no such indication (PSR S900 has the lamps to indicate).
The Rest (Sound & Style) PA 500 is great.

(Sorry for my bad english)

Really it's very bad, I think that another OS upgrade will consider this. For the Pads adding additional LEDs may not be possible, but in the screen it can be shown.

Yes Ajith,

I think this is Backward Step.
Yes, there is impossible to add some LED (like PSR S900) on the button PAD, but maybe the will upgrade the software so we can see it on the screen. I hope KORG team would hear us.
