Not exactly a new member

Post by RVNOak »

...but, it's been about three years since I was last on!! I see there are a bunch of new people and decided I should reintroduce myself.

I was a very active member in the forums here for some time and then had to move to Japan (military). While in Japan, my wife and I were very busy and didn't have a lot of time on the internet (plus, our internet connections really sucked where we were).

About us:

We are Industrial musicians using a TS 88, an Extreme 61, Cubase SX3, Korg Legacy, and a myriad of other junk we sample and put to use. I also play bass when performing live and recording. I'm retiring out of the Navy in about a month and half and will be dedicating a whole lot of time to music again. We currently live just outside of Chicago but are looking into moving into North Carolina (unless Sharp can give us some pointers about living in Ireland - J/K man)!!

I really missed you guys and am hoping to get back to where I left off. This forum is more than just good info for us techy music types - it's like a family that we sorely missed...

So, we're finally back in the US and ready to tear up town!!!

Congratulations on your retirement, and since I also live in Illinois, I can completely understnd why you want to move.
Good to see you here again.

It's not that I want to move from Chicago - the people are cool as hell here!! I just need to find a job and can't see myself driving to work in Z28 when winter hits around here :)

...anyway, thanks - it's nice to be back!!!
