Simple Question

Post by djkeys »

I have a TR-76. I have loaded the Korg USB driver for XP successfully. All I want to do is dump all of the keyboard data as a .PCG file to my laptop in case of an emergency so I don't lose all of my custom programming. I went the Midi->Utility and did a dump all via USB, but the file is not found on my computer. I am not sure if I need some specific application to do this or not.

Any assistance is greatly appreciated.

You need software which can receive and store System Exclusive data. For example, CW Sonar has this feature. Any midi sequenser can do it I guess. Besides, there are deducated programs for receiving and sending sys. exlusive dumps from/to hardware synths.
If it ain't broken, don't fix it!

You can buy an SD card and save there, it's much easier.
It can be found everywhere and now it's very cheap.

Thanks to all. I ordered a couple of 1GB SD cards and will go that route. They were very cheap.
