Octave shifting

Post by SynthBoy »

Hello everyone! :D

Since today I'm a proud owner of this killer synth!
I've tried the preset patches and they blow me away, smooth, brilliant and warm. Can't wait to program my own! I'm addicted allready :P

I've a question about octave shifting via external midi devices.
I use a Roland Fantom X7 together with the Radias and I managed to assign sertain key ranges to Radias and others to the Fantom itself.
(I created a dedicated, completely emty patch, assigned in Layer/Performance mode to midi channel 1, witch the Radias is receiving)

On the Fantom I can shift an octave per split (channel), but when I try this with the split that is assigned to the Radias it doesn't change the octave.
The Radias does respond to global octave shifting though.

Is this a thing I can configure on the Radias or is it more of a Fantom issue?

Thanks, but both the global settings PreTG or PostKBD doesn't change anything either. What can it be? :?

It does on my stuff...

If you use the Post Kybd...the Radias controller will shift octaves, but the devices at midi in will not....

Pre TG allows the Radias Octave selector to shift both the Midi Input and Kbd controller up or down....

On your sending synth, I believe your Transpose or Octave shift is only shifting your TG (tone Generator) you will need to change your note ranges manually on your send channel....
