Songs using MicroKorg

Post by Davey Wavey »

Well, I thought that since others are doing it, I'd link you guys to some stuff I did with my MicroKorg. The songs that I'm linking you to are almost 100% MicroKorg.

For this one, everything is original MicroKorg sound except the drums, which are Roland XV-88 drums run through the MicroKorg with added effects.

This one is 100% MicroKorg, with no other sounds from other keyboards.

Anyway, I hope you guys can enjoy it and feel free to download.
Comments would be nice, too.

Well, not sure about Opium Kit, but Creepy Pad is one of the few pieces I've listened through right till the end.... so hats off to you!
Thought it was just a pad sound (from the title), which was impressive in itself, and then we got the bonus of a whole piece of music. Liked the main theme which appears to ghost in and out of the background. Must have taken a fair bit of work, so very impressed :)

P.S. also liked the web site - seem to have a few things in common re. the fantasy stories. Have got one on the boil in the Work in Progress section on mine.

Thanks, I'm happy you left me a detailed comment!
I should tell you that that website isn't mine. It's my brothers. He's the one working on the novelization of FFVII.
Thanks again!

Well it must be something in the genes  as my first thoughts on hearing your track was that some of it would go well with my project, then I saw the fantasy stuff on the web site and put 2 & 2 together ... incorrectly!
But maybe you could offer to team up with your brother and write music to accompany his stories :)
Phil.
