Drum "hold" switch doesn't seem to do anything on

Post by esl »

Hi, I just got a microx and really like it.

I am would like to trigger some drums with the "hold" switch off, so that the sustain/release of each hit is controlled by how long I press on a key.

This basic function works in some kits, but does not work in others. In some kits, like the "Standard Kit 1" the hold switch seems to do nothing, on or off. On other kits, the hold switch works as described in the manual.

I think that an EG is overriding the drum hold switch somewhere, but I can't figure it out. Any help as to how I can get the hold switch working for all the drum kits would be appriciated.

I figured it out..... on some drums kits the release envelope is extended even though the sustain is not. This seemed to override the "hold" switch. I just took the release down to 0 and saved the kits that way. Problem solved....
