hi all broken botton ¡¡ 2 ¡¡ start/stop and pad 3
Hi all. Well, another button broken, as were two. How can someone help me? I need OPEN the keyboard pa1x. fix it myself. The technical service is very late and carry a month or more and I have a lot of work .... Can someone openyour keyboard? ... Is it difficult? thanks .. : soo much.. best regards.

I can't speak of experience with replacing buttons in the Pa1X, but if it's anything like the Triton Series, then forget it.
Don't dare try it as you have to gut the entire keyboard.

Broken Buttons

Yes, it is possible for you to open your Pa1x and replace the plastic buttons, but only if you are mechanically inclined and you must keep in mind that it may void your warranty.
I would recommend that you should first read thru the many posts in this forum listed under "Broken Buttons".
I replaced my Start/Stop button with the kind guidance and assistance from member Kjeld Moller of Denmark. I was not concerned with the warranty issue because mine had run out. You can contact Kjeld thru the forum under the topic "Broken Buttons" He emailed photographs of the inside of the Pa1x and gave me clear instuctions and what to look for. There is a couple little tricks you must watch out for.
If you decide to "Do it your self" I could also help you and let you know what to watch out for to avoid a mess. Certain screws come out and certain screws stay in.
Specifically ~ After disassembling you "must" keep the "key tray" held in the "up side down position" so that gravity keeps all the other keys from falling out ~ it can be very tricky. There are Little black plastic washers that are used for spacers and they need to go back into the exact same positions or you will warp the circut board when you remount it when tightening down the screws that hold it in place. The plastic buttons also have another piece monted on the back side which can be attached in two different ways, the right way and the wrong way. Make sure that you keep track of exactly how you took it apart and be careful to reassemble it exacty the same way.
