Here goes: my last totally Triton Song for what it's worth. I got the idea of combining sex and food and going for clav funk. Well, it's not my signature style in a way, but a fun experiment.

Excellent!

Really cool lyrics, I especially like the soft answer voices in the last verse, very nicely done.

There are places where I get a hint of Mark Knopfler in your voice, a very good thing, I'm a fan of his.

This is a winner in my book George!

I still don't understand how you could do such amazing things just with a single Triton Studio...
I'm totally blown away when I listen to your song: I could copy and paste my comments from month to month because every month you come out with great sounds, arrangments, lyrics...incredible!

Hey hey, vocal harmonies?!?!
So new from you, but so good!

I loved especially the usage of panning, very creative and very intense to my ears (using iPod earphones, at the office)

If I'll fly to the USA I'll make sure to come over there and exchange some know-how with you, very well done!

Hey, guys, all I can say is, you think this is wild? just wait for the M3. I have a very different song in the making. It is a sonic journey in the same vein as my Boob Tube of Doom where I had all these different parts doing all these unexpected things. My sequencing skills thankfully are fully adapted to the M3 as it's almost identical to the Triton except I have new crunchier sounds that have more presence and movement, I think with all the different oscillators (???) producing each sound you get an evolution of sound just holding the key down, not to mention what happens when you begin twisting the knobs and wobbling the joy stick and ribbon snapping. I'm most impressed by the Radias sounds as they have such an amazing sound, it's hard to describe, but I'm not sure if my mp3s will even actually be able to maintain the full fidelity as there's a watery aspect or a ringing spectrum that is in my headphones when I'm playing but that may lose some of its sparkle in the mixdown. That's gonna be my challenge, It's almost like I will need to go to a dvd quality soundmix to keep the sound intact. But I'm glad you guys like this. I really can't stand my voice in this style, as it really needs like a blues type, or a r and b type singer that could improvise the tunes here and make them really strong. but my vocie is what it is. wish me luck on my lyrics now, thats the project this weekend, my next lyrics, I have some very vague ideas and that's all.

Here again you stay within a genre but give us something fresh and original sounding. The keyboards in this are fantastic! You really exercise your board to it's limits eh?

Well done...good mix and overall sonically pleasing.

While I am not a fan of the fade out, you offered something interesting with it so that it didn't just repeat and fade.

Can't wait to hear the new board unleashed!

Jonsolo, what would I do without you? As a matter of fact it would add something to do an actual ending rather than just fade. I'm leaning toward not fading out as much as I used to, as a cool ending is another opportunity to dazzle the ear one last time as it were. Glad you liked the keyboard. I don't think the percussion is monotonous this time around, but if I revisit this I may try a better ending. I've gotten better at inserting a bridge portion, now I should keep my endings interesting. I do notice in songs when it begins to fade I instinctively reach for the mp3 button to switch to the next song. Hm...

I like this, a slightly different slant but still 100% 2loose.
Quirky, original and always great to listen too.
The production sounds so good as well, clear and plenty of depth.
A great TS swansong!

(swan song) Actually, I had such fun engineering the sounds of this that I was thinking twice about even getting the m3, it's not as if I've plumbed the depth of the TS, it's really quite limitless what you can do with these babies once you master at least some of the major aspects like sequencing. But I can still flip back to the TS for stuff, especially vocals as the m3 only has sampling and no audio tracks per se. As for this song, I was a bit timid on certain parts because it's so classic funk and a bit more mainstream in style than I normally do, not as much edge I guess. But I do like this kind of beat and with the bass and the clav I just had to make it work somehow. A slower more open beat certainly lends itself to more expression.

Wow - some strong sounds there man. I really like the perc. that short burst twittering drum fill is slick. Nice segway - like the rhythm and background there. Glad you posted the lyrics - sometimes I can't quite make a word or two - but my hearing is shot in one ear. The ending uses rev. sound fade? Cool man - I liked that - part of the theme.

Your tunes all sound very full and solid/hard - part of your signature. I am wondering what they are going to sound like on the M3. I think you won't have any mp3 sound quality issues if you encode @ 196.

Well, this idea was born out of a thought, hey, why don't I ever use the clav? And I thought about some of the old Stevie Wonder electronic stuff where he used clav type sounds and I got a bit funky and slowed it down so the clav could roll around on the beat, and as I went this is what came out of that idea. The bridge portion was almost going to be a different song but I figured out a way to make it fit in the middle of the song, that part took quite a bit of tweaking. The instrumentation was great fun here, but the vocals I redid 3 times and still was unsatisfied. Oh well.

The vocal soft answer at "maybe make up your mind", was very nice touch. It is Prince-esk. The vocals, effects, the rhythm and song quality is excellent. I like this a lot. Maybe it is the funk feel. Very good!

Open up that baad M3. Don't be timid...(this is a double dare)

Well, Prince was the last comparison I expected here, but I guess there's something in the pop aspect to compare. I was thinking of the 80s style vocal harmonies that the pop wizards were doing back then, like Michael and Janet and maybe Prince as it were, though I don't think I'd actually stack myself up against their recordings. I think it's really good for any artist to experiement with both fast busy pieces and slower pieces like this one as the slower ones allow you to do entirely different tricks with rhythm and sound textures, probly why so many ballads sell well and get really popular, but i do like the fast ones for all out kickin butt too. My m3 song is nearly done, except for the lyrics which are coming along very slowly, i'll probably be recording vocals by the weekend, then I'll have to spend a week or so deciding if the lyrics work, if my voice is doing the trick and then .... well, you get the jist. Sep is around the corner.

This is good. I'm not sure if its just me but the vocals seem to be slightly more melodic here compared to your other pieces. I like the way you sing here.

The rest is as usual, powerful and well thought out. I wonder how karma will influence your future arrangements, I'm looking forward to your next tune.

Usual good stuff...but you keep doing more new feeling and verse!!

Well, George...You almost sang on this one...( as said earlier...)..and it will make you feel more tone-conscious and able to work with pitch....

The over-all song is as usual, just really catchy and fun...This just gets better with a bit of time..
