Disconnect that 7 port hub. It's connected to a USB port on the computer, right? That's the root hub. You are chaining to hubs together. That complicates the issue and can introduce conflicts. The MicroX USB cable should be hooked directly to a USB port on the computer, with nothing else connected inbetween or on the same hub. That is the simplest configuration for testing. If it doesn't work that way, then try another port on the computer, just to be sure that there isn't something wrong with that specific USB port.
There are some known problems with the USB interface on your computers chipset (using the ICH7 controller) that can cause USB devices not to be recognized. If the MicroX isn't recognized on any of the computers built-in ports, then you may need to buy a newer USB interface card, preferably one that support USB 2.0 Hi-Speed.
Once you get the MicroX to be recognized under Device Manager, then you can start adding USB devices back. Be sure that the 7 port USB hub supports USB 2.0 Hi-Speed, not just USB 2.0, otherwise any HiSpeed USB devices will have to share the much slower "full-speed" connection rate.

my configuration for my DAW is pretty much top of the line, granted I only have a Core 2 Duo CPU but that will be switched over to a Quad probably by year's end.
I did test going directly into usb ports on the computer which did not work. It is possible that some of those ports have been corrupted. Here's the problem my Edirol midi interfaces, my TriggerFinger , my AlphaTrack, my VG-99 are just as important as the micro x to my project.
Right now I'm just doing straight midi, can't get the micro x as a vst that way but it seems to work fine.

I'm not suggesting that you not use those other USB devices. You need to disconnect them temporarily to diagnose and fix the problem. Once you discover the problem and fix it, you probably will be able to rehook everything else you need without any problems. You may need to add a PCI USB card, or a different USB hub, depending on which is causing the problem. We know the MicroX USB isn't causing the problem if it's working on your laptop.charles.monteiro wrote:my configuration for my DAW is pretty much top of the line, granted I only have a Core 2 Duo CPU but that will be switched over to a Quad probably by year's end.
