some questions about micro X multi-mode
Hye fellas, I'm currently using the micro x as a sound module connected to my mpc 1000 so of course I use multi-mode. I'm having a problem when I try to write a multi, it never saves the tweaks I do to each of the 16 tracks on the 4 knobs. When I save a multi, it will always save what instrument is on each on the tracks, as well as the volume and panning info, but never my knob tweaks? Can anybody help me out/
Most synths - and I believe this is the case with the Micro X - do not save edits made to individual patches (programs) as part of a multi setup. A multi is a collection of patches assigned to parts and MIDI channels, with certain volumes, pans, and effects. But if you tweak a parameter that's associated with a particular patch (program), such as filter cutoff, envelope settings, etc., then you need to save those changes into the individual patch if you want them to be recalled again as part of a multi or otherwise.
The only synth I've ever had that can save patch edits within a multi (with a choice as to whether or not the edits affect the individual patch as well) is the Virus TI, although there may be others.
