Hi there! A few weeks back I went out to buy myself some socks and came home with a PA800. There was a demo on in town which attracted me and I was hooked within minutes. I then owned a Technics KN5000 which was good but not this good.
I just love it. Been a semi pro muso for many years playing in bands or solo stuff.....mainly swing, blues and easy listening with occasional ventures into trad and modern jazz. Retired and now in my 70's I can almost relive those swing days with the fantastic backing styles on the PA800.
My fav style is jazz quartet....piano,bass, drums + whatever and I get it all here. Its not easy finding all the options but I'm getting there.
Love my new PA800

Hi there Mr Johnno,
Welcome to the Korgforums!
I also played Technics (KN1000) for many years, and just bought me a new Korg PA500.
What a great instrument it is! I instantly fell in love with the sounds and styles!
Indeed, figuring out all the options will take a while, but hey, that's also good fun!
I wish you all the best & a great musical time!
Keep jammin'
