Definitely should be in a future v2 fix. Bring it on! I really hope there's something to Stephen Kay's words there.

Stephen Kay - you're the man for sure. I would love this feature. I am so used to setting up a thumpy program and then mess with the gate and the knobs as it thumps along. It's such an easy way to lay down an electronic synth line for beat based stuff.

Hi all,

Since I wrote the last comment in this thread, there's been some more discussion at KLF, including a comment from Stephen Kay himself... Basically, the incorporation of 'Triton-esque' arpeggiator editors in the M3 itself is not his call - it's Korgs..

Cheers.

Here is Stephen Kay's post on karma labs forum. In particular please note that the imminent Karma M3 Editor PC software will allow "full on editing" of the Arp sequences.
Stephen Kay wrote:What I meant by "KARMA 2.5" I guess, was a future version incorporating (among possibly other things) the addition of a special "simplified" page that would allow the GV1 type of GE to be edited, on the M3 itself, in a very similar way as the shot of the M50 arpeggiator shown at the top of this message.

There would then likely be a corresponding "simplified editing interface" in the PC/Mac software itself.

However, even in the current 2.2 version of KARMA Editor for the PC/Mac, there is full on editing of the GV1 RTC Model (Triton Arp) type of GEs. Just not a simplified view with limited functionality like what is shown in the M50.

In other words, I can "hide" a whole bunch of Kool KARMA Stuff, and make an editing interface that allows portions of the KARMA GE to be edited, such that it corresponded basically in functionality to the two screens shown at the top of this message. This could then be conceivably put in the M3 by Korg if they so chose to do it (not up to me). But at present, when you buy the M3 software, you can edit the GV1 type of RTC Model GEs same as any other kind of GE, using the normal (advanced) interface of the KARMA M3 software.

Sure. But to do that I need to understand nuances of those ready-made :?

If I even found quite good base arpeggio in Karma, I can not change tempo of arpeggio - from 1/8 step to 1/8t or 1/16.

I want to be free!
Hmmm you are wrong. You have a box in your right upper corner says all you need and more.

I´d like to say that Karma can do everything a simpel arp. can do
Unfortunately, NOT.

I made this primitive bass line during 5 minutes (see link below). I used another gear with simple arp function. I could not repeat this four notes arp with M3, I tried!

I tried 1056, 1060, 1055 GEs, etc, I triggered it with sliders, spend 20 min.

I hope I am wrong and if anybody knows how to make such a primitive things in M3 Karma, let us know, please.
Hi

I made this a year ago, realy easy..I will try to copy the settings for you if you still need them. You can do this easy... Just remember to make it from a new program or a combi. The settings you assign the sliders and and so on makes all the difference. It´s not easy to understand, but also it is a VERY,VERY powerful arp. generator you are dealing with. Thats the price for it.

Make this in a NEW combi

First you must use the Ge monophrase 2 (Hope it´s an m3 standard) Melodic ge. I have set karma T.sig: 1/4 next to the Rtc setup.

Chose Root Position under Control. (not needed)

No Master settings...clear this Only

Keep the Ge realtime parameters as original

Perf RTP settings set your module mix run Sw4 and control Note map mode Sw8

Now go to the karma ge page.

settings: enable SW 2-6-7 all others off.
slider 3 duration control 073
slider 4 Note pattern 056
Slider 5 bend on/off 048
slider 8 repeat volume/decay 062

All other sliders to 000

In the midi filter cc offset:

cc-A , Ge notes, waveweq, Checked all others Off.

The rest will be up to the bass you chose and your insert Ifx.

Let me know how it goe´s
