upper and lower accompaniment setting saving

Post by mercergate »

How do you save these settings so they come up with the style on the PA2X.This seems like a dumb question to me but I've been trying to do this for an hour to no avail. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I want both lower and upper on when I load a style. I can't seem to get it do do this and I find nothing in the book that adresses it. Thank you.

Make sure the lower lock is off in the global settings, and then you simply save the lower and upper settings as STS's (via page menu top right hand corner...its a drop down box). Then re-save the style... Same drop down box, just select save current style performance.

Remember if you are going to change STS, and you want the same lowere setting for all 4 sts's you will need to change each STS....

Another trick if you want to have the same lower setting for all styles, is to simply set it, and then save it in performance 1, bank 1 (this is loaded by default at startup) and then in the Global menu (under the lock tab) turn the lower lock to on. This lower setting will now apply to anything you do.

accompianment settings

Post by mercergate »

I just realized the answer to my question is really not what I wanted to know. (although useful information)I must have phrased the question poorly. What I need to know is; how to save the accompaniment chord scanning settings. The two buttons on the top right which determine which hand,( or both), tells the arranger which chord to play. There is 4 choices, left, right, full, or neither. How do you save it? To a style, a performance, or an STS, or something else. I'm still not able to do it consistently, and can't find anything in the manual that refers to it.

Maybe you have some memory or global protect locked ? That every time you saved it, it is not saved ?

Hi Mercergate,

What I did was to start the keyboard up - it defaults to Performance 1-1 which is Grand Piano RX. Without changing Performance or Style, I then set the chord scanning the way I wanted it, and then I did a "Write Performance" and saved the new settings over the top of Performance 1-1.

Then I set the lock to prevent any performances or styles from changing the chord scanning. I forget the details offhand but you can look it up.

Best regards,
Rob

Well Rob I think he already has set the lock prior to change the settings, that's why he keeps on changing it ?
